Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 17, 2025

Last Updated: July 17, 2026

Welcome to MissionaryConnect.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MissionaryConnect, MissionaryConnect.app, MissionDisplay.org, Digital Missions Display™ systems, related administrative tools, support services, websites, applications, and other services operated by Digital Missions Display, LLC (collectively, the "Services").

These Terms are intended to explain how the Services operate, what users may expect, and the responsibilities that come with using the platform.

By creating an account, accepting an invitation, activating a display, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. PURPOSE OF THE SERVICES

Digital Missions Display™ and MissionaryConnect exist to help churches connect their members with the missionaries and ministry projects they support.

The Services provide ministry-focused tools for organizing, curating, managing, displaying, and sharing missionary information, including profiles, prayer letters, photographs, videos, testimonies, maps, documents, prayer requests, contact information, and related ministry content.

The Services are designed to support missionary awareness, prayer, communication, stewardship, and church engagement.

2. ELIGIBILITY AND MINISTRY PURPOSE

The Services are intended primarily for churches, missionaries, pastors, ministry leaders, mission boards, sending churches, staff members, church members, and authorized guests.

Users must be at least thirteen (13) years of age. Users under the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction may use the Services only with appropriate permission and supervision.

The Services may be subject to:

  • Church or ministry affiliation requirements
  • Invitations or approval by a church administrator
  • Verification of account ownership or ministry relationships
  • Role-based permissions
  • Subscription or display activation requirements
  • Other reasonable eligibility and security requirements

Users agree not to use the Services in a way that conflicts with their intended ministry purpose.

Digital Missions Display, LLC may approve, deny, restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the Services, participating ministries, users, security, or intended purpose of the platform.

Approval, verification, display, or inclusion of a person, church, missionary, mission board, sending church, or ministry does not constitute an endorsement, certification, guarantee, or agreement with every belief, statement, practice, or activity of that person or organization.

3. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND SECURITY

Users agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate account information
  • Protecting your password and login credentials
  • Restricting access to your account, devices, and displays
  • Managing authorized users and account roles
  • All activity occurring through your account
  • Promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access
  • Ensuring that people using your account or display have appropriate permission

You may not share credentials with unauthorized persons, impersonate another user, or misrepresent a church, missionary, ministry, mission board, sending church, or other relationship.

We may require verification before changing account ownership, administrator access, subscription control, missionary profile control, or other sensitive settings.

4. CHURCH ACCOUNTS, USER ROLES, AND DISPLAY ACCESS

MissionaryConnect may provide different account roles, including owner, administrator, staff, member, missionary, and guest roles.

Permissions and available features may vary by role, subscription, account settings, invitation status, and platform configuration.

Church account owners and authorized administrators are responsible for:

  • Selecting appropriate user roles
  • Managing invitations and access
  • Reviewing missionary content
  • Controlling profile and display visibility
  • Removing access when it is no longer appropriate
  • Ensuring submitted information is authorized and accurate
  • Protecting any private or restricted information

Digital Missions Display™ systems may operate through a web browser, dedicated display configuration, touchscreen device, connected computer, or other supported equipment.

The church or organization is responsible for the physical security, internet connection, electrical service, mounting, local device settings, operating system configuration, browser configuration, and proper use of equipment unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.

5. SUBSCRIPTIONS, FEES, TRIALS, AND PAYMENT

Certain Services require a paid subscription, equipment purchase, activation fee, service fee, or other payment.

Prices, plan features, missionary limits, storage limits, display access, and billing periods are described at the time of purchase and may change upon reasonable notice.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance
  • Subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled
  • Users authorize the applicable payment processor to charge the payment method on file
  • Users are responsible for taxes, fees, and valid payment information
  • Failure of payment may result in restricted or suspended access
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in a written refund policy
  • Cancellation prevents future renewal but does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period

Free trials, promotional periods, or evaluation access may be modified or ended at any time. Cancelling a trial may result in immediate loss of access unless the offer specifically states otherwise.

Specific equipment purchases, installation services, training services, custom development, data entry, migration work, shipping, warranties, and support arrangements may be governed by a separate proposal, invoice, order form, service agreement, or written policy.

6. USER CONTENT AND PERMISSIONS

Users retain ownership of the original content they submit.

By submitting content, you grant Digital Missions Display, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, resize, convert, transmit, display, distribute, back up, and otherwise use the content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, support, and provide the Services.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own the submitted content or have all necessary rights and permission
  • You have authority to submit information concerning a missionary, family member, church, mission board, sending church, or ministry
  • You have obtained any needed copyright permissions, releases, licenses, or consents
  • The content does not violate privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, contract, or other legal rights
  • The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • The content is appropriate for the ministry purpose of the Services
  • The content does not violate applicable law

Users are solely responsible for submitted content and any harm resulting from content they upload, publish, display, share, or distribute through the Services.

We do not independently verify ownership, permission, accuracy, or legal rights for every item of user-submitted content.

We may remove, restrict, disable, edit, reformat, or refuse content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, creates legal or security risk, interferes with platform operation, or conflicts with the intended purpose of the Services.

Copyright or intellectual property concerns may be sent to:

7. MISSIONARY INFORMATION AND PROFILE MANAGEMENT

Missionary profiles may include information provided by churches, missionaries, mission boards, sending churches, ministry representatives, public sources, or authorized users.

A church may manage information about missionaries it supports. A missionary may also be granted permission to manage or update certain profile information.

Users acknowledge that:

  • Information may vary between participating churches
  • A missionary may have different profile details or visibility settings in different church accounts
  • Prayer letters, images, videos, documents, and prayer requests may become outdated
  • Churches and missionaries are responsible for reviewing information before publication
  • Digital Missions Display, LLC does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, doctrinal position, safety, financial condition, or ministry effectiveness of any listed person or organization

The Services are communication and display tools. They are not a substitute for a church's own pastoral oversight, missionary vetting, financial review, doctrinal review, safeguarding procedures, or due diligence.

8. ACCEPTABLE USE

Users agree to use the Services in a lawful, respectful, secure, and ministry-appropriate manner.

Users may not:

  • Submit knowingly false, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, hateful, threatening, abusive, or unlawful content
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, exploit, or harm another person
  • Impersonate another person, church, missionary, mission board, sending church, ministry, or organization
  • Upload content without the rights or permission needed to use it
  • Publish private, confidential, or sensitive information without authorization
  • Interfere with, disrupt, overload, damage, or impair the Services
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, displays, servers, databases, systems, or networks
  • Probe, scan, test, bypass, disable, or compromise security, authentication, permissions, or access controls
  • Share accounts or credentials with unauthorized persons
  • Introduce malware, ransomware, spyware, malicious code, viruses, or harmful technology
  • Use automated tools, bots, scripts, crawlers, scrapers, data-mining tools, or artificial intelligence systems to collect, copy, harvest, extract, reproduce, or compile information from the Services without written permission
  • Use information from the Services to create, populate, train, support, or improve a competing or substantially similar missionary display, missionary database, ministry directory, software platform, or commercial service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, copy, or attempt to obtain source code except where such restriction is prohibited by law
  • Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or unwanted communications
  • Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or commercially exploit access without written permission
  • Use the Services for unlawful activity or solicitation unrelated to the intended ministry purpose

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, restrict features, suspend access, deactivate displays, or terminate accounts.

9. DIGITAL MISSIONS DISPLAY™ EQUIPMENT AND THIRD-PARTY DEVICES

Digital Missions Display™ may be used with equipment sold, supplied, configured, recommended, or supported by Digital Missions Display, LLC.

Equipment performance may depend on third-party hardware, operating systems, browsers, internet providers, electrical service, wall mounts, network settings, security settings, firmware, and manufacturer support.

Unless a separate written warranty states otherwise:

  • Third-party equipment is subject to the manufacturer's warranty
  • We do not control manufacturer updates, discontinued products, browser changes, operating system changes, internet outages, or third-party service failures
  • Customers are responsible for reasonable care, proper mounting, electrical safety, network access, and physical security
  • Unauthorized modification, improper installation, misuse, damage, neglect, or unsupported software may limit support or warranty coverage
  • Remote support may require internet access, user cooperation, and permission to access the affected device or account

Any equipment warranty, return right, installation obligation, shipping term, or service commitment stated in a separate invoice, proposal, order form, or agreement will control over conflicting general language in these Terms.

10. SOFTWARE AVAILABILITY AND CHANGES

MissionaryConnect is provided as a hosted software service.

We may add, modify, replace, discontinue, migrate, limit, or retire features, integrations, interfaces, storage methods, display options, pricing plans, or platform components.

We may perform maintenance, security updates, data migrations, upgrades, and emergency repairs.

We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available permanently or that the Services will operate without interruption, delay, error, incompatibility, or data loss.

We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the Services, but availability may be affected by circumstances outside our control.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND INTEGRATIONS

The Services may use or link to third-party providers, including payment processors, hosting providers, video services, document viewers, mapping tools, email providers, analytics providers, device manufacturers, browsers, operating systems, and other technology vendors.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies, warranties, and availability.

Digital Missions Display, LLC is not responsible for third-party services, content, security, privacy practices, interruptions, changes, or failures.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Services, including MissionaryConnect software, source code, databases, designs, workflows, interfaces, graphics, logos, branding, documentation, training materials, videos, forms, display layouts, platform features, and proprietary methods, are owned by Digital Missions Display, LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

"Digital Missions Display™," "MissionaryConnect," associated logos, product names, and branding may not be used without permission except as allowed by law.

Users may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, publish, copy, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit our intellectual property without prior written permission.

No ownership rights in the Services are transferred to users.

13. FEEDBACK

If you provide suggestions, ideas, recommendations, feature requests, or other feedback, you grant Digital Missions Display, LLC permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.

This does not grant us ownership of missionary content, church content, or other original user content submitted through the platform.

14. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for reasons including:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Nonpayment
  • Fraud, abuse, or misrepresentation

  • Infringement of intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Conduct that harms the Services, users, churches, missionaries, or participating ministries
  • Use inconsistent with the intended purpose of the Services
  • A request from the account owner or authorized organization
  • Discontinuation of a Service or subscription plan

Users may cancel a subscription according to the cancellation process provided through the account, payment portal, or support team.

Following termination or cancellation:

  • Access may end immediately or at the end of the paid billing period, depending on the applicable plan or agreement
  • Display sessions and administrative tools may be deactivated
  • Data may be retained according to the Privacy Policy
  • Users should export or preserve needed information before cancellation when export tools are available
  • We are not obligated to retain or restore data indefinitely after termination

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and governing law.

15. SUPPORT AND TRAINING

We may provide support through email, telephone, video meetings, documentation, training videos, remote access, or other methods.

Support availability, response times, included services, and training may vary by subscription, equipment package, service agreement, and staffing availability.

Support does not include unlimited custom development, third-party device repair, local network administration, electrical work, wall mounting, operating system recovery, or services outside the agreed scope unless separately purchased or stated in writing.

Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of original photographs, videos, prayer letters, and documents before uploading them.

16. DISCLAIMERS

The Services provide software, display tools, missionary information, communication features, and ministry-related content that may originate from users, churches, missionaries, mission boards, sending churches, third parties, or public sources.

Digital Missions Display, LLC does not independently verify, endorse, guarantee, inspect, certify, or warrant:

DIGITAL MISSIONS DISPLAY, LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, COMPATIBILITY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY DEVICE, BROWSER, OPERATING SYSTEM, NETWORK, DISPLAY, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.

THIS INCLUDES LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, GOODWILL, MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES, SUPPORT, DONATIONS, USE, CONTENT, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY THE CLAIMING USER OR ORGANIZATION TO DIGITAL MISSIONS DISPLAY, LLC FOR THE APPLICABLE SERVICE DURING THE SIX (6) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you.

19. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Digital Missions Display, LLC, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, judgments, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from:

Before filing a formal legal claim, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith informal communication.

A party requesting informal resolution must provide written notice describing the dispute and requested resolution.

If the dispute is not resolved informally, the parties agree to participate in mediation before pursuing litigation or arbitration, unless emergency injunctive relief is reasonably necessary.

Any unresolved dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Cherokee County, South Carolina under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Nothing in these Terms or the ministry-focused purpose of the Services waives any legal right or remedy available to Digital Missions Display, LLC or a user.

22. GOVERNING LAW

23. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Digital Missions Display, LLC may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Services.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable order form, proposal, invoice, subscription description, equipment agreement, support agreement, refund policy, or other policy incorporated by reference constitute the agreement between the parties regarding the Services.
