Digital Missions Display, LLC, operating Digital Missions Display™ and MissionaryConnect ("Digital Missions Display," "MissionaryConnect," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information entrusted to us.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you access or use MissionaryConnect, MissionaryConnect.app, MissionDisplay.org, a Digital Missions Display™, related administrative tools, support services, websites, applications, or other services operated by Digital Missions Display, LLC (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect information that you provide directly to us, information created through your use of the Services, and information received from authorized third parties.

Information may include:

  • Name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and account credentials
  • Church, ministry, missionary, mission board, sending church, and ministry-related information
  • Missionary profiles, biographies, testimonies, prayer requests, prayer letters, photographs, videos, documents, contact information, and other submitted content
  • Church staff, administrator, member, guest, and missionary account information
  • Subscription, billing, payment, transaction, and customer support information
  • Display activation, device, browser, operating system, login, security, analytics, and usage information
  • Internet Protocol addresses, cookies, session information, and similar technical data
  • Communications sent to or received from our support team
  • Information voluntarily submitted by churches, missionaries, ministry representatives, and authorized users

MissionaryConnect may also contain information supplied by participating churches, missionaries, mission boards, sending churches, or other authorized ministry representatives. Users are responsible for ensuring that information they submit is accurate and that they have permission to submit and display it.

Payment information is processed by third-party payment processors. We do not intentionally store complete credit card numbers or full payment credentials on our servers.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We may use information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Confirm church, missionary, ministry, or account relationships
  • Provide access to MissionaryConnect and Digital Missions Display™ features
  • Display missionary profiles and related ministry content to authorized users
  • Allow churches and missionaries to add, update, organize, and curate missionary information
  • Deliver prayer letters, photographs, videos, documents, maps, profiles, QR codes, and other platform content
  • Activate and administer Mission Displays and browser-based display sessions
  • Process subscriptions and payments
  • Provide technical support, training, and customer service
  • Send service notices, account information, security notices, updates, and ministry-related communications
  • Improve the security, performance, reliability, accessibility, and user experience of the Services
  • Analyze usage, troubleshoot errors, and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access
  • Enforce our Terms of Service and other policies
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of Digital Missions Display™, MissionaryConnect, our users, and participating ministries

We may use automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar tools to assist with support, data organization, search, moderation, analytics, security, transcription, formatting, or quality improvement.

We do not knowingly use private user information with third-party artificial intelligence systems for the purpose of making that information publicly available.

Users may unsubscribe from non-essential marketing communications through the unsubscribe method provided in the message. We may continue to send service-related communications needed to administer an account, subscription, security issue, or requested support service.

3. MISSIONARYCONNECT PLATFORM

MissionaryConnect is a ministry-focused software platform designed to help churches organize, manage, curate, display, and share information about the missionaries and ministry projects they support.

MissionaryConnect may be accessed through computers, tablets, phones, browser-based displays, and Digital Missions Display™ touchscreen systems.

Information submitted through MissionaryConnect may be used across authorized platform features, including:

  • Church and missionary profiles
  • Missionary maps, globes, cards, and regional views
  • Prayer letters, photographs, videos, testimonies, and documents
  • Church member and guest viewing experiences
  • QR codes and shareable profile access
  • Display activation and administration
  • Screensavers and presentation features
  • Account management, analytics, support, and reporting
  • Future MissionaryConnect and Digital Missions Display™ features that are consistent with the purpose of the platform

Access to content may depend on account roles, church settings, invitations, profile permissions, display settings, or other access controls.

Information designated as private or restricted will not be intentionally displayed publicly solely because it is stored or used within another MissionaryConnect feature. However, authorized church administrators and other permitted users may have access to information needed to manage the church's missionary records.

4. INFORMATION VISIBILITY AND ACCESS

Certain information may be visible to church members, guests, missionaries, staff members, administrators, or other authorized users as part of the intended operation of MissionaryConnect.

The visibility of information may depend on:

  • The settings selected by a church or account administrator
  • The role assigned to a user
  • Whether a profile or item is marked public, private, restricted, or invite-only
  • Whether the information is displayed on a Digital Missions Display™
  • Whether a QR code, profile link, or other sharing feature has been enabled
  • Whether the information was submitted for display or distribution

Missionary profiles and related content may originate from churches, missionaries, mission boards, sending churches, ministry representatives, or other authorized contributors.

Digital Missions Display, LLC does not guarantee that all submitted information is complete, current, or error-free. Churches, missionaries, and other users should review and verify information before relying on it.

5. USER CONTENT

Users retain ownership of the original content they submit to the Services.

By submitting content, you grant Digital Missions Display, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, resize, convert, transmit, display, distribute, back up, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, improve, support, and provide the Services.

This license does not transfer ownership of your original content to Digital Missions Display, LLC.

You represent that:

  • You own the content you submit or have the necessary rights and permission to submit it
  • You have permission to provide information, photographs, prayer letters, videos, logos, documents, and personal details concerning other individuals or organizations
  • The content does not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contract, or other legal rights
  • The content does not violate applicable law
  • The content is appropriate for the ministry-focused purpose of the Services

You are responsible for obtaining any releases, permissions, licenses, or authorizations needed for content you upload or display.

6. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

We may use cookies, browser storage, session technologies, pixels, logs, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep users signed in
  • Remember preferences and display settings
  • Maintain account and display sessions
  • Improve functionality
  • Analyze usage and performance
  • Detect errors and security threats
  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Improve the user experience

Disabling cookies or browser storage may prevent some MissionaryConnect features from functioning correctly, including login, account preferences, display activation, and kiosk-style operation.

7. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

Digital Missions Display, LLC does not sell personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Services, including:

  • Cloud hosting and storage providers
  • Payment processors
  • Email and communication providers
  • Video, document, and media processing providers
  • Analytics and security providers
  • Customer support and technology vendors
  • Professional advisors, accountants, insurers, and legal counsel

Service providers may access information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for us and are subject to their own legal and contractual responsibilities.

We may disclose information:

  • When required by law, subpoena, court order, governmental request, or legal process
  • To investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our policies
  • To protect the rights, property, safety, security, or ministry interests of Digital Missions Display, LLC, our users, participating churches, missionaries, or others

  • With the consent or direction of the user or organization that controls the information

8. DATA SECURITY

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or destruction.

These safeguards may include encrypted connections, access controls, authentication, logging, backups, hosting protections, account permissions, and other security measures.

No method of transmission, storage, or security is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, account credentials, display access, devices, and authorized user lists.

9. DATA RETENTION

We may retain account information, missionary records, church records, uploaded content, subscription records, support communications, logs, backups, and related information while an account is active and for a reasonable period after cancellation, expiration, or inactivity.

Information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for:

  • Legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations
  • Fraud prevention and security
  • Backup and disaster recovery
  • Resolving disputes
  • Enforcing agreements
  • Preserving records requested by a church or missionary
  • Maintaining platform integrity
  • Supporting reactivation or data restoration
  • Protecting Digital Missions Display, LLC and its users

Users may request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law, contractual obligations, legitimate operational needs, account ownership, church recordkeeping needs, platform security, and backup retention.

Deletion requests generally apply to active systems under our control. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, archives, logs, and disaster recovery systems until those systems are overwritten or retired through ordinary procedures.

10. ACCOUNT AND CONTENT CONTROL

A church account owner or authorized administrator may control missionary information, user roles, invitations, display settings, and content associated with that church account.

A missionary may be permitted to manage or update certain information through an invitation, assigned role, or profile access provided by a church.

When more than one party claims authority over an account or profile, we may request reasonable verification before granting, changing, restricting, or removing access.

We may preserve information while an account ownership, authorization, security, or ministry relationship dispute is being reviewed.

11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Services are intended primarily for churches, missionaries, ministry leaders, staff members, and adult users.

We do not knowingly permit children under thirteen (13) years of age to create independent accounts or knowingly collect personal information directly from children under thirteen without appropriate authorization.

Churches and users should not submit personal information about children unless they have a lawful and ministry-appropriate reason and the necessary permission to do so.

If you believe a child under thirteen has provided personal information without proper authorization, contact us so we may review the matter.

12. USER PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on applicable law and your location, you may have the right to request:

  • Access to personal information we maintain about you
  • Correction of inaccurate information
  • Updating of incomplete information
  • Deletion of certain personal information
  • Restriction of certain processing
  • A copy of certain information in a portable format
  • Information about the categories of personal information collected or disclosed
  • Withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent
  • An appeal of certain privacy-related decisions

These rights may be limited by applicable law, account ownership, church recordkeeping needs, contractual obligations, security requirements, legal claims, and legitimate operational interests.

We may require reasonable verification before completing a privacy request.

13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The Services may contain links to third-party websites, churches, mission boards, sending churches, video platforms, payment processors, map providers, document viewers, social media services, or other organizations.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, accuracy, availability, or content of third-party services.

Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

14. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Digital Missions Display, LLC operates from the United States.

By using the Services, you understand that information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Users outside the United States are responsible for determining whether their use of the Services and submission of information complies with applicable local requirements.

15. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Material changes may be communicated through email, account notices, platform notifications, website announcements, or other reasonable methods.

The revised policy will become effective on the date stated in the updated policy. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acknowledgment of the revised policy.
